I am fascinated by the human body. I have always had a curiosity with movement and the ways in which we can use our bodies for efficiency, and in ways that can promote systemic health. As a dancer, a yogi, and a massage therapist, I continue to learn more and more about my own body and use these practices to study how each body is distinct.
The modality I offer is Shiatsu. I feel it incorporates the entire being of a person. While the focus is to release ‘stuck’ energy, many of the techniques are highly beneficial for sore muscles and tender joints. It is truly a joy to work one on one with people to help them find ease and harmony in their bodies.
Shiatsu is a Japanese massage technique derived from the same principles as Traditional Chinese Medicine. Massage techniques are applied along meridians and acupressure points to help aid in the overall flow of chi or energy in the body. It is performed with clothes on so please come prepared wearing stretchy, comfortable clothing.
