She does not adhere to any one lineage in her teaching, but draws from the several schools of yoga that she has studied. Kristine works to help each student modify the postures for his or her individual needs.
Margarita began receiving the gift of yoga over a decade ago and has been teaching for 5 years. She received her 200 hour teacher training certificate in alignment-focused hatha yoga from Amrita, and went on to complete a year long teaching apprenticeship. She is currently training in Hakomi, a mindfulness based, body centered psychotherapy.
Margarita’s classes are thought provoking, heart expanding and invigorate the body. She is inspired by yoga’s ability to reconnect us to our inherent beauty and wisdom. She constructs class around a theme, and selects asanas that build to a peak pose, supported by breath and alignment. She approaches her work with enthusiasm, gentleness, and curiosity.
