Adrianne Cadbury – Zen Shiatsu Practitioner
I have been practicing Zen Shiatsu for more than 15 years and continue to be inspired to support my clients’ health and well-being.
Shiatsu is based on Chinese Medicine, a complete system based on energy channels in the body. Shiatsu is a Japanese healing art that combines touch with this 5,000 year old year old medicine.
In 1998 I completed my 3 year Shiatsu training in Bristol, England and in 2000 I became a Licensed Massage Therapist in Seattle , Washington. In Seattle I had a private practice and taught Shiatsu at the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and at Bastyr University. In 2008 I started my Shiatsu private practice in downtown Portland and have been at The Good Life Medicine Center since July 2015.
I have had advanced Shiatsu training with Pauline Sasaki and Clifford Andrews and have completed a 2 year Post Graduate course and a 2 year Shiatsu Teacher Training with The Shiatsu College of the UK. Since 2011 I have been a Shiatsu Teaching Assistant and Shiatsu Clinic Supervisor at The Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. Since 2008 I have been a Shiatsu Practitioner at the Immune Enhancement Project, a research clinic where Shiatsu provides supportive therapy for clients with HIV/AIDS, Cancer, Diabetes, Multiple Sclerosis, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Hepatitis C and other immune related disorders.
At the Good Life Medicine Center I enjoy working with a diverse group of clients.
With compassion, skill and a love of the healing arts I create a treatment program for you that is enjoyable, beneficial and sustainable. Shiatsu treatments are given on a thick futon mat and clients wear loose comfortable clothing.
I look forward to supporting your health with Shiatsu !
